Area Code Update corrects and overwrites all the phone numbers in your list that have new area codes following a split, replaces incorrect area codes, and fills in missing codes. This service will also standardize your phone numbers for consistency throughout your database. The last 4 digits of the phone number will not be checked. By processing your data through area code update you can: • Increase telemarketing efficiency • Standardize for consistency• Dial the correct phone number every time
Bankruptcy and Derogatory Suppression - This suppression file includes civil judgment information as well as tax liens in 50 states on both businesses and individuals. This is an especially important suppression process for companies that market financial and consumer related goods and services. The file is updated weekly to provide precise, timely marketing data. By processing your data through Bankruptcy and Derogatory Suppression you can: • Reduce the number of write-offs and cost of collection service fees • Reduce exposure to fraud • Lower postage, printing and mail preparation costs
CASS / Address Standardization - Meet USPS requirements for CASS (Coding Accuracy Support System) certified mailings by appending ZIP+4 and postal codes to the records in your list. Addresses are matched to the monthly updated USPS National Address File. By processing your data through CASS you can: • Validate and correct U.S. addresses for accuracy • Append Zip+4, carrier route and delivery point codes • Standardize your data to USPS specifications to qualify for postal discounts
Deceased Suppression - Flag the records of individuals in your list who are deceased. Deceased data is based on Social Security Administration records, other sources, and is updated quarterly. Match percentage will vary depending on the accuracy and age of the data in your list. The average percentage updated is 1-3%. By processing your data through Deceased Suppression you can: • Update records respectfully • Lower postage, printing and mail preparation costs
DMA/MPS - Do Not Mail Suppression - Avoid mailing to uninterested recipients. The Direct Marketing Association maintains a database of individuals who have registered because they prefer not to receive advertising mail and/or solicitation phone calls. These files are updated monthly and distributed four times a year -- January, April, July, and October. Names remain on file for five years. The match percentage will vary depending on the accuracy and age of the data in your list. By processing your data through DMA/MPS - Do Not Mail Suppression you can: • Avoid fines • Reduce your returned mail • Lower postage, printing and mail preparation costs
DPV (Delivery Point Validation) - Eliminate undeliverable records and save the postage costs. DPV assures the deliverability of the mail-piece, even if the address has been verified by a CASS ZIP+4 certified process to be accurate only within a street range. DPV verifies the address to the actual point of delivery and can also identify an address location at a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA). DPV is important with all classes of mail, but it becomes most profitable when using Standard rates. Unlike a First-Class mail-piece that will be forwarded or returned to the sender, the USPS will simply discard your undeliverable Standard mail. Append percentage will vary depending on the accuracy of the list. Your record must match our database record exactly to append DPV information; otherwise no match will be given. By processing your data through DPV you can: • Reduce your returned mail • Make sure that your mail pieces reach the right audience, especially for Standard Mail
DSF2 (Delivery Sequence File) - This service compares your file to the 2nd Generation Delivery Sequence File, which contains a record for every address delivery point in the United States. Your list will be verified for the highest level of accuracy possible, ensuring you the highest deliverability for the lowest cost.
- Validates and Standardizes addresses
- Adds postal codes and walk sequence numbers
- Distinguishes between residential and business addresses
- Detects potentially undeliverable addresses
- Identifies addresses that are seasonal or vacant
The match percentage will vary depending on the accuracy of your list. The process is an exact matching process. Your record must match our database record exactly to get the DSF2 address information appended. By processing your data through DSF2 you can: • Reduce your returned mail • Qualify for postal discounts • CASS Certify & Standardize your list • Get faster delivery with Zip+4
Duplicate Detection (Merge/Purge) - How often are two or more pieces of identical mail sent to the same person, household or location? According to some companies, as much as 15% of their data is duplicated. With the price of postage ever increasing, the cost of sending duplicate mailings is no longer something that can be ignored. Additionally, the positive business image, which companies spend so much time and money to build, is tarnished by irritating their customers with duplicate mailings. By identifying and eliminating duplicates you can: • Eliminate duplicate pieces of mail going to one target • Save money on postage, printing, and preparation costs • Avoid upsetting customers who receive multiple copies of the same materials • Improve Mail Deliverability
FTC and State Do-Not-Call Compliance
Avoid Paying Expensive Fines. Make sure your internal and rental lists are compliant with Federal & State Laws. Let the Florida List Company take the worries of managing your Do- Not-Call lists out of your hands. For less than a penny per record you can have your list cleaned to meet current government regulations.
Insuring Data Quality - Keeping your data up-to-date and accurate has become a critical bottom-line issue. It is crucial to preserving one of your company's most valuable assets - your customer base.
The following are important steps to insure data quality:
- Standardize and clean name and address data (CASS Certification standardizes addresses to USPS standards and appends zip+4).
- Format all data consistently - use one record layout for all databases.
- Parse name and genderize current and new data.
- Process all your data through USPS list hygiene services on a scheduled basis. Make sure you run your database against the National Change of Address file (NCOA) at least every 6 months (3 months would be ideal).
- Add a field in your database that maintains information as to when each record was previously updated by list hygiene processes, especially NCOA.
- Merge/purge your data on a regular basis so duplicate records are removed (especially for incoming data).
- Place a specific employee in charge of "Policing" incoming data.
- Put into place quality control measure.
LACS (Locatable Address Correction System) - Increase your deliverables using the new street names of your rural route customers and prospects. LACS was developed in response to local 911 systems to convert business and residential rural route addresses to street-style addresses. Because the residents do not actually move when they receive a new address, change of address forms are not filed. These permanent address conversions typically involve renumbering and renaming rural route, highway route and box numbers as city-style addresses. The changes are updated monthly, and, after one year, the rural route addresses are considered undeliverable.
LACS processing identifies these addresses and automatically updates your records. Match percentage varies depending on the accuracy of the names on your list. Your record must match our database record exactly otherwise no match will be given. Running some form of address verification like CASS, DSF or NCOA may improve the append percentage and is recommended before processing your list.
By processing your data through LACS you can:
- Reduce your returned mail
- Qualify for postal discounts
- CASS Certify & Standardize your list
- Get faster delivery with Zip+4
Name Parsing & Genderization - Now you can easily determine the gender percentages of your list. Better yet, you can personalize your communications by parsing and genderizing your data. The Name Parse and Genderize service splits name fields in your list into Prefix, First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, and Suffix fields. Using the First Name, this service will then assign a gender code to each record. This code indicates if the first name is female, male, neutral or unknown. By processing your data through Name Parsing & Genderization you can: • Enhance your communications using personalization • Increase response rates to gender specific markets
NCOALink (National Change of Address File) - Each year over 45 million Americans change addresses. This makes it very difficult to maintain an accurate list that tracks customers who move. Using NCOALink eliminates this problem by updating your customer base with current deliverable addresses. By processing your data through NCOALink you can:• Reduce undeliverable mail by providing the most current address data • Lower postage, printing and mail preparation costs • Speed-up mail delivery by one to two days • Meet USPS requirements for postal discounts • Make sure that your mail pieces reach the right audience
Prison Suppression - Flag the records of individuals in your internal or rental lists who are prisoners. This data is based on Government records, other sources, and is updated quarterly. Match percentage will vary depending on the accuracy and age of the data in your list. By processing your data through Prison Suppression you can: • Reduce exposure to fraud • Lower postage, printing and mail preparation costs
Consumer Phone Append - Add phone numbers to your residential list or database. 20% to 60% Full name or last name, address, City, State, 5 digit ZIP® 10 digit phones Call for quote
Consumer E-Mail Append - Add e-mail addresses to your residential list or database with mailing list services.
Business Fax Append - Add fax numbers to your list or database
